How far in advance can I book?

The booking system allows you to book up to 60 days in advance and you can manage and change your own playdates until 24 hours before they start via the system sent emails.

How do I book and can I reschedule?

Bookings and payments are completed online.

You’ll receive an initial confirmation email upon booking, which addressed to your dog!

You’ll then receive a reminder email 48 hours prior to your start time – again, addressed to your dog.

In both of these emails you have the option to reschedule or cancel your booking up to 24 hours before your start time using the buttons at the bottom of the email.

Reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice and you’ll need to contact Shell and Lynn to help.

2 hours before your booking you’ll receive an email and a text message confirming your playdate and they will share the code for the padlocks.

How do I get access into The Glade when it’s our playdate?

2 hours before your booking you’ll receive an email and a text message confirming your playdate and they will share the code for the padlocks. The numbers on the padlock align on to TOP ROW, not the middle. Remember to lock both gates from the inside while you are having your playdate to ensure no-one else can gain access.

Will I have The Glade to myself, and can I bring family and friends?

When you book into The Glade you will have the entire secure dog park to yourself for the hour. If you want to meet up with family and friends, simply count the number of dogs and book from there. You can book up to 10 dogs through the booking system.

Can a friend join us last minute?

YES is the answer – give us a call (07919 406717) and we will ask for the additional dogs details: name, age, breed, anything else we need to know about the additional dogs.

I have a ‘banned breed’, can I book them in?

YES, they are absolutely allowed! As dog lovers we don’t necessarily agree with the laws, but we do need to follow them for us to stay open, and we ask you to do the same so everyone can have access to a much-needed service. We have special terms and conditions on our booking system that must be followed but they’re pretty aligned with our own terms and conditions for all dogs and the laws put in place by Scottish Government. The key thing is as long as they are there with dogs from their own home (think covid restrictions) then they are allowed in the park off lead and unmuzzled. (Leads and muzzles needed in the car park). If you’re mixing homes then leads, muzzles and a 1:1 dog handler is required for the duration as per the law.

How secure is the Fence Line?

It’s up to you to assess the skills of your pup against our security measures – we’ve done our best, however a determined Houdini may be unstoppable. Here’s what we’ve done:

The private carpark has the same safety measures as the secure park itself.

The fence line is roughly 6ft high with coyote style rollers on the top so if a climber does make it that high, then they won’t get purchase on that top wire and will roll back in.

The fence line is top to bottom lined in rabbit fencing making it very difficult for even wee paws to get a grip on.

Every corner and angled beam is wrapped behind rabbit fencing to so they can’t run up them.

The rabbit fencing is also dug in underground to thwart any diggers escapee attempts that way.

There are logs under every gate closing the gap between the bottom of the gate and ground, so diggers really have no chance!

If we have anything positioned on a fence line that could possibly act as springboard, then the only place they will get into is the carpark or if it’s in the carpark then it’s back into the park they go.

If you have any suggestions, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help.

Do I need to bring anything? Is there water and lighting?

We recommend people bring a ‘Field Kit’ with them to make the most of their playdates:

Water and a bowl – it’s thirsty work! There isn’t a water source in The Glade.

The toy of the day, which doesn’t need to be a ball. Hide and seek is just as much fun

Super smelly treats to work those noses and to help coax them into leaving

A towel for the damper days – it’s the Highlands and weather happens

Sturdy footwear for the humans – the park designed to feel authentic and rugged like the Scottish hills (albeit within an Alcatraz style fence) so the ground is uneven, the grass is au naturelle in areas, and there’s woodlands too

And, if you’re going in the moon light (between sunset and sunrise), then have a disco in the dark! A light up collar and Glo-balls that light up on contact for your pup and a head torch with a red filter on it for yourself. Red protects your night vision, doesn’t blind your pups or fellow humans and being on your head, it keeps your hands free. Please don’t drain your phone battery using its torch – it happened and it’s not fun when you can’t see to undo the locks to let yourself out or call for help. There is no electric or lighting in The Glade.

Do you allow professional bookings?

We welcome professional bookings from others working in the dog industry such as trainers, photographers etc. Please reach out to Lynn and Shell if you have any questions (call 07919 406717).

Do you sell gift vouchers?

If you are looking for the perfect present for any dog lover, we offer gift vouchers! They are valid for one year from purchase and start at £10. Gift vouchers are suitable for any event: Birthday, Christmas, and Secret Santa are the obvious celebrations, however, think about gifting someone an hour of peace and tranquillity in a controlled environment with lots of seating and a huge private carpark.  Gift vouchers have become very popular for new baby bundles as our facilities are pram-friendly, and they’ll also fit in the shelters safely. Another popular option is for Get Well cards. There is seating and shelter around the secure dog park which offers lots of resting places and have the comfort of knowing that nothing unexpected can happen.

Holidays and vacations

If you are heading away and your dogs are staying with family, friends or even a professional dog home border, why not book your pups in while you are away? Knowing your dog can be let off lead for their usual smiles and zoomies in The Glade will resolve any niggles in the back of your mind making your time away a much more enjoyable experience.
