Our quad bike treks follow a network of tracks and off-road trails through the magnificent ancient pine woodland and across the heather moorland of this traditional Highland estate with spectacular views of the surrounding mountain landscape. Look out for the estate’s herd of long-horned Highland cows with the chance of seeing wild deer and other local wildlife along the way. The treks are led by experienced and fully trained professional guides who are happy to stop at particularly impressive view points and indicate areas of special interest. There are plenty of photo opportunities – don’t forget to bring a camera!

AGE & WEIGHT

Maximum weight 18 stone and minimum age 12 years (a childs strength needs to be taken into consideration).

EQUIPMENT PROVIDED

Full safety gear.

Fully automatic quad bikes. We ride on varied off-road terrain which prevents excessive speeds.

Heated handgrips in Winter.

PARTICIPANTS TO TAKE

Quad treks run all year round and in all weathers. Suitable outdoor clothing that might get a bit wet or muddy, strong footwear such as wellies or boots. Ponchos and Gloves can be purchased from the quad bike base on the day.

EXPERIENCE

None required, full training will be given on a practice track before starting the trek.

ONE RIDER PER BIKE

Strictly one rider per quad bike (no passengers are allowed on our quad bikes).

Rothiemurchus Visitor Centre, under the shelter in the main car park.

DURATION
Approx 1 hour including safety check and basic instruction, we have a trek minimum of 2 people and maximum 7 people.

The quad bike treks are operated by the specialist training and activity company, Highland Venture Ltd. The company, which was established in the year 2000, is headed up by a professional team with more than 17 years experience in the quad bike trekking and off road driving industry.

QUALIFICATIONS
All leaders are trained to LANTRA standards.
