Description
Starting at the Triangle Car Park at the Rothiemurchus Centre, you will meet your friendly and knowledgeable Ranger and then hop into the Land Rover with them (or they might have you follow them in your own vehicle to the farm). Here you will park up and walk with the Ranger to the field where they will call over our wonderful hairy heilan coos. They will come right up to the fence and be happy to pose for hundreds of photos!
Then you will be guided down through the main farm itself, where you will see some more animals and the Ranger will provide you with some information on the history of farming at Rothiemurchus. The tour will finish up back at the Rothiemurchus Centre.
Participants should wear suitable outdoor clothing, underfoot can be muddy so boots or stout shoes are recommended. Sorry no dogs – they upset the coos!
Meeting point – Triangle Carpark – 10 minutes before session. (Please meet the Ranger and they will take you in the Land Rover or, depending on numbers, you may have to follow the Land Rover to the farm in your own vehicle)
