Hidden in the forest of Rothiemurchus, this beautiful place is one of the most loved in the UK.
“If you like trees – seriously like trees – then Rothiemurchus camp and caravan site is the type of spot you might go to and never want to come back from. It’s one of the best places in Scotland to enjoy swathes of indigenous Caledonian woodland, with a flurry of Scots pine, birch and juniper forest and wood shrouded lochs. There is really a sense of being somewhere genuinely unspoilt and pristine here.”

CAMP AND CARAVAN
at Rothiemurchus
campandcaravan@rothie.net.
At the heart of Rothiemurchus is a superb camp and caravan park with fantastic facilities. Located a 20 minute stroll from Rothiemurchus centre, it’s the perfect place for a holiday with your touring caravan, motor home or tent.
Set amongst towering Caledonian pine trees, this tranquil park offers sheltered camping in a unique wilderness setting as well as 17 sheltered level pitches for touring caravans and motor homes, all with electric hook-up. Due to the special nature of our ancient woodland site bookings cannot be made through the website, instead please email campandcaravan@rothie.net or call 01479812800. This is because the trees grow naturally so every pitch is different, the dimensions and number of people must be taken into account to ensure you are given a spot that is right for you.
Come and enjoy a wild camping experience but with the added bonus of modern facilities. There is a superb heated amenity building with toilets, showers and a dishwashing area, plus a separate launderette. Try the cycling and walking trails that start from your door in this area of outstanding natural beauty close to Loch an Eilein and the Cairngorms. Or you may prefer to just simply relax and get away from it all and enjoy watching the exceptional wildlife from the comfort of your pitch.
Sorry, there is no holiday accommodation to rent on the Park.
We offer a warm welcome to all visitors – a maximum of two dogs are allowed in motorvans and caravans, but not in the camping area.
Contact us for more information, we’ll be delighted to help.
