Secure Dog Park near Aviemore, The Glade Rothiemurchus

The Glade is a new secure dog park at Rothiemurchus, just a few minutes from Aviemore.

Created by Shell and Lynn – the passionate team behind The Field Inverness, the first secure dog park in the Highlands – The Glade brings their love and understanding of dogs to the heart of Rothiemurchus. Set among peaceful woodland with open space to roam, it’s designed as a safe, secure environment where dogs can simply be dogs.

A Safe Space for Every Dog

The Glade offers exclusive, 60-minute play sessions where your dog can enjoy complete freedom off lead, in a private and fully enclosed area. Whether your dog loves to sprint, sniff, or stroll, The Glade gives them the space to enjoy it their way – with peace of mind for owners.

The Glade has been thoughtfully designed with both dogs and humans in mind. You’ll find open grassland for running, woodland for exploring, and even a sheltered seating area so you can relax while your dog plays. There’s parking right beside the field, and safety is a top priority with high fencing, rabbit wire, and clever design features to stop even the most determined escape artist.

Passionate Founders with a Purpose

Shell and Lynn’s story began with The Field Inverness in 2019, which quickly became a haven for dogs that needed safe space to play. Both bring years of experience working with reactive and rescue dogs and share a deep belief that every dog deserves the chance to run free without fear.

Their approach is grounded in empathy, modern training methods, and a true understanding of what owners go through. As Lynn says, “There’s no such thing as a bad dog, only a misunderstood one.”
The Glade builds on that philosophy, offering a calm, secure space for dogs and owners to build trust and enjoy time together in nature.
