Festive Lunch

If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a Christmas lunch near Aviemore this December, we’ll be serving a special Festive Lunch at The Barn, Rothiemurchus on Friday 4th December at 1pm.

Hosted in our Abhainn Druie room at the back of The Barn, it’s a relaxed afternoon for friends, family or colleagues to get together in the run-up to Christmas. Whether you’re planning a small Christmas party, a festive catch-up or simply fancy leaving the cooking to someone else, everyone is welcome.

The Festive Lunch is £40 per person and spaces are limited. To book, email thebarn@rothie.net, call 01479 810 005, or speak to a member of the team in The Barn.

Our Menu

Our three-course festive menu features a choice of starters, followed by mains including Rothiemurchus roast beef & yorkies, mushroom and chestnut wellington, and Rothiemurchus smoked trout salad. For dessert, choose from Christmas pudding with brandy butter, Bailey’s crème brûlée or spiced plum and apple pie, followed by freshly brewed coffee. Vegetarian and vegan choices are available.

Join us at The Barn for a relaxed festive lunch on Friday 4th December at 1pm, hosted in our Abhainn Druie room at the back of The Barn.

Our three-course festive menu includes a choice of starters, followed by mains including Rothiemurchus roast beef & yorkies, mushroom and chestnut wellington or Rothiemurchus smoked trout salad. Finish with a choice of festive desserts and freshly brewed coffee. Vegetarian and vegan options are available too.

How to get here

Rothiemurchus is situated about 2 miles from the main A9 road from Perth to Inverness and 5 mins by car from Aviemore.

There are stands to secure bikes outside The Barn Café and if you are driving there is free parking next to The Barn, opposite The Barn and also in the Woodland Carpark as you approach The Barn.
