Clay Shooting is the fast growing, popular sport of shooting with a shotgun at moving clay targets.
Our highly experienced Instructors are on hand to guide you through this thrilling experience providing a bespoke session which will include basic gun safety and the techniques required to break a variety of target presentations. Targets will be flying away, crossing in front, driven overhead and of course there’s the bolting rabbit! You will be taught how to break single targets and maybe even some pairs if you are up for the challenge! All tuition and equipment are included.

Minimum age: 14 years. Whilst we do have lighter Shotguns and a selection of sizes, the guns are quite heavy. To ensure participants can safely take part, we have a minimum age of 14 years. If you would like to enquire about 12 & 13yo's, please get in touch directly on 01479 811272 or shoot@rothie.net where we can advise you.
Under 18's: Please note that due to Child protection, all under 18's must be accompanied by an adult participant or spectator.
Equipment: All equipment including Ear Defenders, Safety glasses, Clays, Cartridges and Gun hire is fully inclusive.
Duration: Please allow up to 1.5 hrs for this experience depending on the numbers in your group.
Meeting point: Please arrive at the Shooting Ground no later than 10 minutes before the session start time. Be advised to wear suitable outdoor clothing including hats and gloves during colder periods.

This Activity is available all year round. Our Summer opening hours are from 1st April to 31st Oct, 9am -5pm, Wednesday to Sunday and our Winter opening hours are from 1st Nov to 31st March 9am-4pm, Thursday to Sunday.
Cancellations: For a full refund, we require 24hrs notice.Please see Terms and Conditions link within your confirmation email regarding cancellation policies. Unfortunately ill health within 24hrs, does not qualify for a full refund but if we are able to resell spaces, we may be able to refund at short notice. This is subject to Management decision. Groups bookings are subject to different Terms and Conditions and you will have received these by email during your enquiry process.
